Bastille Day celebrations in Suva!
French Ambassador to Fiji hosts Bastille Day celebrations at the official residence in Suva.
Bastille Day was celebrated in true French style at the official residence of the French Ambassador to Fiji, H.E. Michel Djokovic. Ambassador Djokovic and his wife hosted the July 14 celebrations, where more than 300 guests enjoyed French food, good champagne and wine!
The guest list included; President of the Republic of Fiji, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, Acting Prime Minister, Honourable Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and his wife, members of parliament, heads of diplomatic missions, private sector heads, civil society representatives, Vodafone Flying Fijians head coach and players, French community, media and friends of the Embassy!
Ambassador Djokovic acknowledged the sponsors; TOTAL, Alcatel-Lucent, BRED Bank, Taittinger, Holiday Inn, Victoria Wines and Fiji Water. He also acknowledged French chef, Chef Phillipe Garand, staff of Holiday Inn (Suva) and the staff and students of the Fiji National University’s School of Hospitality for the French buffet menu and the service.
