Celebration of Bastille Day in France

For this edition of the Bastille Day celebration on July 14, 2019, the President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron, who attended for the third time since his election in May 2017, down at 10am the famous Parisian Avenue des Champs-Elysees in a vehicle of command, before joining the presidential platform on the Place de la Concorde. Some 4,300 soldiers, 196 vehicles, 237 horses, 69 aircraft and 39 helicopters mobilized for the traditional parade.

In the opening of the parade, robots and drones were used in the armies were exhibited at the Place de la Concorde before giving way to the highlight of the show: a futuristic demonstration of Flyboard Air, a flying platform propelled by jet engines. Its inventor, the French jet ski world champion, Franky Zapata, piloted his machine, rifle in hand, several tens of meters above the ground.

The parade opened by the Patrouille de France drawing in the sky the red white blue flag.

In all, sixty-seven aircraft crossed the Parisian sky, including a German A400M transport aircraft and a Spanish C130.

A parade on July 14 turned towards Europe of defense

This French parade of July 14 was placed under the sign of the Europe of Defense and European military cooperation, one of the great battle horses of Emmanuel Macron presiding over the festivities in the presence of a dozen European leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

This year, the traditional military parade on July 14 has been placed under the sign of the Europe of the defense. For this 2019 edition being entitled "Act together", the procession has carried the colors of Europe, since it is the European.

Intervention Initiative (IEI) which is honored and aims to salute the all the military operations that France has conducted in cooperation with its European neighbors.

A concert took place including Roberto Alagna, Gaëlle Arquez, Khatia Buniatishvili and Jakub Joseph Orlinski. Gautier Capuçon also performed, playing Dvorak’s "Ode to the Moon" from the opera "Rusalka".

A show on a background of classical music, which brilliantly closes the traditional concert given on the stage under the Iron Lady. This show is the work of the company Ruggieri, under the artistic direction of the Bordeaux artificer David Proteau.

An impressive celebration for 230 years of taking the Bastille. Sunday was organized with the traditional fireworks in Paris, shot from the gardens of Trocadero and even from the Eiffel Tower. The latter played a role in the color schemes, lighting up even during a masterful finale to mark the 130th of the iron giant. Thousands of spectators were able to feast, from 23 hours, from the Champ-de-Mars, the bridges and banks of the Seine or Belleville, admiring the fireworks whose theme was the Festival of the Federation, staged by David Proteau with the company Ruggieri.
