Agen Rugby Club, in the district of Lot-et-Garonne (South-west France), has stepped up in answer to the Fiji Flood Fundraising Appeal issued by Fiji’s Embassy in Belgium in aid of the victims of the recent violent floods in Fiji.

The club is sending clothes, jerseys and other sporting effects to the Fiji Embassy in Brussels for sale during their Charity event on May 12th, which is to include a Fijian Cultural Concert. All profits will be sent to Fiji for the victims of the disaster.

This support shown by the Agen Rugby Club is evidence that the common values and solidarity they share with their Fiji comrades extends off the field as well.

There are currently two Fiji rugbymen in the Agen Rugby Club – Ilaitia Tagotago and Saimoni Vaka.
