French Ambassador, H.E. Michel Djokovic presents his Credentials to King Tupou VI in Tonga

French Ambassador Michel Djokovic was in Tonga on 26 May, 2015 to present his credentials to King Tupou VI, who received him at length. The Ambassador was accompanied by his wife.

The French Ambassador also hosted a reception in Nuku’alofa for the Tongan Prime Minister, Mr Akilisi Pohiva and held separate discussions with Lord Ma’afu, Defence and Lands Minister, Mr Tauelangi, Minister for Agriculture, Mr Vakata, Minister for Internal Affairs and government officials. He also met with Cardinal Mafi.

Ambassador Djokovic visited Tonga High School and also spent an evening with the francophone community at a cocktail reception at the Alliance Francaise of Nuku’alofa office. The French Defence Attache, Commander French Navy, Hubert Jannot and French Embassy Consul, David Hocquet also attended the cocktail reception.
