French Senators visits Fijian villages affected by climate change.

On September 8, the delegation from the French Senate and the Embassy of France in Fiji visited two Fijian villages (Verevere and Nayaukoso) in the coast of the Ra Province on the western side of the main island Viti Levu. The two villages are part of the Fiji Government’s relocation plan and both were also badly affected by the February 20 Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Winston.

The delegation were received by the Ra Provincial Administrator at the Ra Provincial office before the road trip to the village sites.
