French and Fijians celebrate Bastille Day

Last night on the 14th of July, the Ambassador of France to Fiji, His Excellency Mr Sujiro Seam, hosted close to 300 guests at his official residence in Suva to celebrate and commemorate Bastille Day.

Guests included His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Fiji, Jioji Konrote, Ministers, Hon. Mereseini Vuniwaqa, Hon. Semi Koroilavesau, Hon. Ifereimi Waqainabete, the Acting Chief Justice, Kamal Kumar, Permanent Secretaries, ladies Dimity Fifer and Jennifer Poole, Members of Parliament in particular the Leader of Opposition, Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka, Head of Missions, French citizens living in Fiji, Fijian community and the media.

During his speech, His Excellency Mr Sujiro Seam announced that the visa applications for France will open in Suva in September this year.
