As we look for a bright future ahead of us, Fiji Fashion Week has played a role of bringing out the best designers around the region. This week we will be witnessing the creative designs. According to the history of Fashion, the Western clothing started in the middle of the 14th century and during the 17th to 18th centuries, French styles decisively took over leadership until today. France is the leading country in the fashion industry alongside, Germany, Italy, the USA, the UK, Spain, Japan and Switzerland. Paris is the home or headquarters for many of the premier fashion houses, including, Pierre Cardin, Céline, Chanel, Chloé, Jean Paul Gauthier, Dior and Givenchy. This has become a global impact and bringing the world together by sharing creative ideas and enjoying life. This week is important for Fiji Fashion as we witness Fashion designers around the Region to showcase their passions and love for designs. The French Embassy is bringing in Hari Harring, the creator of HH Creations to showcase her designs in Resort wear on Thursday 29th May. Fashion Week Festivals is a global trend offering amazing business networking opportunities for designers, buyers, retailers, models etc. Though Fiji and the Pacific at large, offers an exciting opportunity to the vibrant world. The Pacific have been impacted by the creative minds of the Parisian and thus exposing their cultures and ideas. Fiji Fashion Week is an ideal for sharing “The Pacific Gifts” and ideas to the world.
